One postcode, very different homes
Dublin 15 stretches from the Phoenix Park out to the Meath border, and it takes in a wide range of housing. There are older roads and big family homes in Castleknock; estates from the 1970s, 80s and 90s around Blanchardstown, Corduff, Hartstown and Coolmine; and newer apartments and townhouses in Ongar, Tyrrelstown, Ashtown and the developments near Clonsilla and Hansfield.
The way we clean is the same everywhere: hot-water extraction with a portable machine, stains and traffic lanes pre-treated first, and air movers to speed up drying. What changes from one end of the postcode to the other is the planning. How many flights of stairs, whether there's a lift, where the van can stop, and what kind of carpet is on the floor.

What Dublin 15 homes book most
Across the postcode, three jobs come up again and again:
- Hall, stairs and landing. In an estate house these take the most wear and show the biggest change when cleaned. Each step is done by hand with a small tool, from the top down.
- End of tenancy. Dublin 15 has a lot of rented homes, and landlords and tenants book a carpet clean once the house is empty. Our end-of-tenancy carpet cleaning guide explains what landlords look for.
- Children and pets. Living-room carpets in family homes get spills, muddy paws and the odd accident. Fresh marks come out well; old pet urine in the underlay is harder, and we'll be honest about it from your photos.

Houses, apartments and parking
Most houses in Dublin 15 have a driveway or a space outside, which keeps the machine close to the door. Apartment developments in Ongar, Tyrrelstown, Ashtown and around the shopping centre usually have a car park, a lift and a management company. Tell us about access when you send photos, including any barrier or fob on the car park and whether contractors need to sign in.
Townhouses deserve a mention of their own. Three storeys mean two flights of stairs and a landing on each floor, and the price reflects that, so send a photo of each flight.
If you live in a cul-de-sac, say so. A van parked outside for the morning can box in a neighbour's car, and it's easier to plan around that in advance than to move mid-clean. Most people simply let the neighbours know the day before.

Wool or synthetic?
Most carpets in Dublin 15's estates and apartments are synthetic, usually polypropylene or nylon. Both clean well and dry quickly, though polypropylene holds onto oily traffic lanes and some drink dyes can stain nylon for good. Larger homes, especially in Castleknock, are more likely to have wool or wool-rich carpet, which needs a wool-safe solution and controlled moisture, and takes longer to dry. We check the fibre on the day whichever you have.
Drying and getting the house back
Drying is typically a few hours, depending on the carpet, the weather and the airflow. Air movers do the first part while we're there. Afterwards, open a window if it's dry outside, leave the heating on low and keep internal doors open. Furniture and outdoor shoes should wait until the carpet is dry right into the pile.
Prices and quotes
The price is based on what we're cleaning: rooms, stairs and landings, rugs, sofas or mattresses, and the condition of each. A photo of each is enough for a fixed figure before anything is booked. Landlords with several properties in the area can send them together, and we'll quote each one.
Just over the Meath border at Clonee or Dunboyne? We cover all of Leinster, so that's no problem either. We're fully insured. Ciprian, who started Spotless, learned his carpet cleaning on a Prochem course in 2018. For the full method, see carpet cleaning in Dublin.
