How we cover Dublin
Spotless is based in Dublin. We clear houses, apartments, attics, garages and offices, clean carpets, sofas and mattresses, and power wash driveways, patios and walls, in every part of the county.
Dublin isn't one place for a job like ours. A Victorian terrace in Dublin 6, a 1970s semi in Dublin 15 and a seafront apartment in Dún Laoghaire each need a different plan: different parking, different stairs, different building rules. This page is a guide to the areas we work in and what to expect in each. The local pages linked below go into more detail for each area.
North Dublin: Fingal and the northside
North of the Liffey, we work from the city's northside suburbs out along the Fingal coast:
- The north county towns: Swords, Malahide, Portmarnock and Donabate, with their estates, duplexes and coastal houses.
- The northside coast: Sutton, Raheny and Clontarf, from Dublin 3 out to Dublin 13.
- Closer to the city: Drumcondra and Cabra, with red-brick terraces and mid-century family homes.
In the Fingal towns, estates and duplex schemes usually mean loading from a driveway or a visitor space, with the attic and garage holding most of the volume. Along the coast road and in the older northside streets, parking is tighter and houses are often terraced, so we plan the carry before the van arrives.

South Dublin: from Dublin 4 to Killiney
South of the river, the housing gets older and larger in places, and parking gets harder:
- Dublin 4 and Dublin 6: Sandymount, Donnybrook, Rathmines and Rathgar, where period houses, flats in converted houses and permit parking are the norm.
- Dublin 6W, 14 and 16: Terenure, Templeogue, Rathfarnham and Dundrum, mostly semi-ds and estates with driveways.
- Dublin 18 and the coast: Sandyford, Foxrock, Blackrock, Dún Laoghaire and Killiney, from apartment blocks to large detached houses on big sites.
Period houses in Dublin 4 and Dublin 6 can have basements, granite steps up to the door and three or four floors, so a full clearance may need a bigger crew or a second day. Apartment schemes around Sandyford and Dún Laoghaire bring lifts, loading bays and booking rules instead.
West Dublin: Dublin 15, 22 and 24
West Dublin is where many of the big estates are, which usually means easy loading and very full attics and garages:
- Castleknock and Blanchardstown in Dublin 15
- Lucan and Clondalkin along the N4 and N7
- Tallaght in Dublin 24, out towards Saggart and the foothills
Lucan sits right on the Kildare border, and Leixlip is just across it, so jobs on either side of the line are no different for us. The estates out here mostly date from the 1970s onwards: semi-ds and terraced houses with driveways, where a clearance is quick to load but the loft, the garage and the garden shed are often packed.

Inside the city, the old postal districts still describe most areas. Out in the county, Eircode routing keys take over:

In Dublin, traffic and parking shape a job as much as the house does. When you send photos, tell us whether there's a driveway, permit parking, a loading bay or a busy road with clearways. In apartment buildings, mention the lift, the management company and any booking rules for moves. On narrow terraces, we stage everything inside so the van is outside for as short a time as possible.
