Carpet cleaning outside Dublin
Spotless is based in Dublin, but our carpet cleaning doesn't stop at the M50. We clean carpets in the commuter towns and the countryside of every county in Leinster: semis in Navan and Naas, terraces in Drogheda, bungalows outside Carlow and farmhouses beyond Athy.
The service is the same wherever the house is. The same portable hot-water extractor, the same pre-treatment products and the same air movers come with us, and the work is done by Ciprian, who founded Spotless, with his small crew. Ciprian is fully trained in carpet cleaning (Prochem course, 2018, certificate no. 2018/020), and we're fully insured on every job, two streets away or two hours down the motorway.
What changes outside Dublin is the planning. A long drive is only worth it for both of us if the price is agreed and the day is organised before the van leaves the city:
- A fixed price before we travel. Worked out from your photos of the rooms, stairs and any stains, so nobody makes a long trip for a surprise.
- A date that fits the drive. Visits further out are planned around the journey, and flexible dates widen the choice.
- Everything on one visit. Carpets, stairs, sofas, mattresses and rugs done together, with one booking and one price.
- Drying sorted before we go. Air movers running and clear advice on when the carpet can be walked on.

How we plan a trip out of Dublin
Most of the arranging happens on WhatsApp before anyone gets in the van. You send photos and your Eircode, we send back a fixed price and the dates we can offer. If your dates are flexible, say so, because it gives us more room to fit a longer journey into the diary and often means an earlier visit for you.
For the longer runs, such as Wexford, Kilkenny, Athlone or Longford, a morning slot usually works out well. The cleaning is finished by early afternoon, and the carpet has the rest of the day to dry while the house is warm and the windows can be open.
A few practical points make the day go smoothly:
- Finding you. Rural addresses can be hard to spot from the road. An Eircode or a WhatsApp location pin, plus a note about gates or shared lanes, saves a lot of driving up and down.
- Water and power. The extractor needs a working tap and a socket. In a holiday home or a house that's been empty, check both are switched on before the day.
- Parking. A farmhouse yard is easy. A terrace on a busy main street, or a flat over a shop in a town centre, needs a word in advance so we can unload close by.
- Keys. If you can't be there, a neighbour, a relative or a key safe works, and we'll message you photos when we're done.
Town homes, estates and country houses
Carpets outside Dublin aren't so different from carpets inside it, but the houses they're in vary a lot, and that changes the job.
Commuter estates in Meath, Kildare and north Wicklow are mostly semis and townhouses from the last thirty years. The carpets are usually synthetic, the stairs and landing take the hammering, and with children and pets in the house the living room needs the most attention.
Older town houses in places like Drogheda, Carlow and Kilkenny tend to have narrow stairs, steep landings and, now and then, a wool runner held with rods. Stairs like these are cleaned one tread at a time with a hand tool.
Country houses and farmhouses often have long halls, big rooms kept for visitors and a back door that opens straight onto the yard. Mud and grit come in on boots and paws every day, and a good wool carpet that's been down for decades is often well worth cleaning rather than replacing.
Holiday homes and lets along the Wicklow and Wexford coast pick up sand, salt and damp, and usually need doing at the start or end of the season, while nobody's staying.
More than carpets on the same trip
When we're travelling a distance, it makes sense to do everything at once. We clean:
- Sofas and armchairs, with the fabric and care label checked first (upholstery cleaning)
- Mattresses, for children's beds, guest rooms and lets (mattress cleaning across Leinster)
- Rugs, cleaned in place after a colour-run test (rug cleaning)
- Carpets in halls, pubs, churches and B&Bs (commercial carpet cleaning in Leinster)

Outside Dublin and want a price? Send photos of each room, your Eircode and the dates that suit you on WhatsApp. We'll reply with a fixed price and the dates we can offer, usually the same day.
Getting a price from anywhere in Leinster
You don't need anyone to call out and measure. For an accurate price, send:
- a photo of each room from the doorway, and the stairs from the bottom step
- close-ups of any stains, and a word on what caused them
- photos of any sofas, mattresses or rugs you'd like done too
- your Eircode and a note about parking
- a few dates that suit you
We price by what's being cleaned: each room, the stairs and landing, the hall, and any extra pieces, adjusted for size and condition. You'll get a fixed price before you book, and it won't change on the day. If a stain is unlikely to come out, we'll say so from the photo, so you can decide before anyone travels.
