Sofa and upholstery cleaning across Dublin 15
Four of our videos were filmed in Dublin 15: upholstery cleaning in Blanchardstown, a sofa and upholstery job in Ongar, a sofa in Castleknock and a carpet clean in Castleknock. They're all on this page, and they show the same thing: a fabric sofa or chair cleaned where it stands, in your own sitting room, with nothing taken away.
We clean:
- Fabric sofas, from two-seaters to corner units and sofa beds
- Armchairs and recliners in fabric
- Cushions: seat, back and scatter cushions
- Fabric dining chair seats
- Carpets and mattresses on the same visit, if you need them
Check the label first
Most sofas have a care label under a seat cushion or on the frame, often with a cleaning code. It's worth a look before you book, because it tells us what the fabric can take:

If there's no label, send a close-up photo of the fabric and the make of sofa if you know it. Velvets, chenilles and some natural fabrics can mark with water, and we'd rather test than guess.
How we clean a fabric sofa
- Check and test. Care label, fabric type, and a hidden spot tested for colour run.
- Pre-treat. Marks, the grease line along the arms and headrests, and the seat areas get a pre-treatment suited to the fabric.
- Clean. A hand upholstery tool on the extraction machine rinses hot water through the fabric and pulls it straight back out, so the cushions aren't soaked.
- Dry. Cushions are stood on their edges, and air movers can speed things up. Drying is typically a few hours, depending on the fabric and ventilation.
- Check. We go over the result with you before we pack up.
Body oil on arms and headrests usually comes up well. Old drink rings, biro and stains that have set may fade without disappearing, and fabric that is worn or bobbled stays that way. We'll tell you which is which from your photos.
A few things help the result last. Try not to sit on the sofa until it's fully dry, because a damp fabric picks up dirt quickly and can crush the pile. Turn and swap the seat cushions now and then so they wear evenly. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth instead of rubbing, which only spreads them and pushes them into the filling. Carpets and mattresses on the same visit
Once the machine is set up, adding the living-room carpet, the stairs and landing or a mattress is easy. Carpets are cleaned with the main wand after spots and traffic lanes are pre-treated; mattresses get the hand tool, like a sofa. Blanchardstown, Castleknock, Ongar, Clonsilla and Mulhuddart
Dublin 15 is a big area. There are established estates around Blanchardstown, Corduff and Mulhuddart, newer developments like Ongar and Tyrrelstown with plenty of apartments and townhouses, and older, settled roads in Castleknock near the Phoenix Park.
