Keeping the good pieces, clearing the rest
Most office moves in Dublin 15 aren't all or nothing. The newer desks and the good chairs go with you; the tired meeting table, the spare pedestals and the cabinets nobody has opened since the last move stay behind. Your removals firm handles the first group. We take the second.
It sounds simple, but a mixed move is where things go wrong: the wrong desk loaded, a good chair thrown out, the movers carrying things that should have been cleared. A little planning avoids all of that. If you're closing the office entirely, see our separate page on office clearance in Blanchardstown.
Label first, then everything else
The single most useful thing you can do is label every item before anyone arrives:
| Label | Means | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Moving to the new office | Your removals firm |
| Red | Not coming with you | Spotless |
| Blue | Staying with the building | Nobody; it stays put |
| No label | Ask first | Checked with you on the day |
The colours don't matter; consistency does. Put the labels where they can be seen from the doorway, and give the movers and us the same key. Anything unlabelled stays until someone with authority says otherwise.
Blanchardstown Corporate Park and Ballycoolin
Most offices in Dublin 15 that we're asked about are in the business parks to the north of the village: Blanchardstown Corporate Park, the parks around Ballycoolin, and the estates out towards Mulhuddart and Damastown. They're modern buildings with car parks, lifts or ground-floor access, and often a security barrier or a reception desk.
That makes access straightforward, and the planning is mostly about timing. Some of the parks also have shared reception or security staff who need a list of contractors the day before, so ask early. Where the building has a booking system for the lift or the loading area, tell us and we'll fit in with it. Out-of-hours work (evenings or weekends) can be arranged if the clear-out has to happen when the office is empty. The N3 and the M50 are close by, so an early start is easy.

Before the move or after it?
Both work. Which one suits you depends on space and timing:
- Before the move. We clear the red-labelled items a day or two before the movers come. They then work in a calmer office, carry less, and nothing unwanted ends up at the new place by mistake. Best when you'll have the old office for a while afterwards.
- After the move. The movers take the green items, and we clear everything left a day or two later. Best when the old office is crowded and the move date is fixed.
- The same day. Possible if the building can take both crews, though we'd rather not share a small lift. We'll agree the order with your removals firm.
We don't move furniture to the new office ourselves; that's your removals firm's job. Ours is everything that isn't going. Movers also tend to leave the kitchen and the comms cupboard untouched, so if the fridge, the microwave and the old network kit aren't coming with you, put a red label on them too.
Moving out of a Dublin 15 office? Send photos of each room with your labels showing, plus your move date and the building's rules. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Surplus that's still good
Furniture you're not taking isn't always worn out. Before we arrive, it's worth offering good chairs and desks to staff, the incoming tenant or a local group, who may be glad of them. What's left is sorted as we load: anything still usable goes aside for reuse where possible, electricals and metal head for recycling, and the rest goes to licensed facilities.
Office furniture dealers sometimes buy good-quality chairs, desks and storage, especially well-known ergonomic brands in good condition. It's worth a phone call before the clear-out if you have a lot of matching pieces. Worn, broken or dated furniture rarely sells, and that's the part we take care of.
For old computers, the data is yours to deal with before they go: wipe the drives or take them out. We take the hardware to electrical recycling but don't provide data destruction. Our planning guide covers the IT steps in more detail.
Price and booking
The fixed price is based on the red-labelled items: how many van loads, how much dismantling, and how far it is from the office to the van. Photos with the labels visible are ideal; a short video walk-through works too. We're fully insured and an authorised waste carrier. If it's just a handful of pieces, furniture removal may suit better.
If furniture has gone into self-storage while the move settles, we can clear that later; see storage unit clearance. Once the space is empty, carpet cleaning in Blanchardstown can freshen it up before handback. For homes in the area, see house clearance in Blanchardstown, and the overall service is on our office clearance page.
