Leaving an office in Maynooth
Office clearances in Maynooth tend to come from three places: companies leaving a suite on the Maynooth Business Campus, small firms closing an office in the town, and organisations near the university moving out of rooms they've used for years. In each case the lease or licence has an end date, and the office has to be empty before it.
We take care of the physical side. Everything loose comes out, comes apart where it needs to, and leaves for reuse, recycling or licensed disposal. You're left with empty, swept rooms and one less thing to manage in the final weeks.
Maynooth Business Campus
The Business Campus, off the Straffan Road and close to the M4, is mostly modern office buildings with car parks, lifts and building management. Access is good, so the questions are about scale and timing:
- How much? A suite here can hold a full team's workstations, meeting rooms and a kitchen.
- When? Many buildings want contractors to book the lift and loading in advance.
- What stays? Items that belong to the landlord, such as fitted kitchens or reception counters, stay where they are.
We'll plan the day around the building's rules and your lease date. If the clearance has to happen outside working hours, evening or weekend work can be arranged where the building needs it.
A campus suite usually has more in it than people remember. Meeting rooms keep their tables, chairs and AV trolleys; the kitchen has a fridge, a dishwasher and a coffee machine; and there's often a comms cupboard with old switches and a rack. Leased coffee machines and printers go back to their owners. Owned appliances and disconnected IT go to electrical recycling, and anything plumbed in has to be disconnected by a plumber first.
Offices in the town and near the university
In the town itself, offices sit above shops on the Main Street and the streets running off it, often in older buildings with a single stair. Closer to the university, offices that work alongside academic life fill up with what that work produces.
Town-centre offices bring the familiar small-town questions: a street door shared with a shop, a narrow stair and parking that's tight during the day. A photo of the street and the stairs lets us plan the stop and decide how many hands to bring, and an early start keeps the van out of the way of the town's traffic.
Offices near the campus, on the other hand, often mean more paper and books than furniture:
- Books and journals by the crate. Copies in good condition are set aside for reuse where possible, and the rest go for paper recycling.
- Printed reports, posters and conference stands from years of projects and events.
- Old computers and specialist kit. General electrical and IT equipment goes to recycling. Lab equipment that's been used with chemicals or biological material isn't something we take; that needs a specialist.

When the team has already gone
By the time an office is cleared, the staff have often moved on, and the person responsible may be in Dublin, abroad or already busy at a new site. That's fine. We can collect keys from the building manager or a key safe, work to an agreed list, and send photos when each room is empty.
Anything that looks like it matters, such as signed documents, personal belongings or a drive that's been missed, is set aside rather than loaded. The data side still has to be settled before we arrive: wipe or remove every drive, because we don't do data destruction, and have confidential files shredded by a specialist. Our planning guide has a longer checklist for the weeks before handover.
Leaving an office in Maynooth? Send photos of each room, the storeroom and the access, along with your lease end date. We'll come back with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Getting there and the price
We're based in Dublin and Maynooth is straight out the M4, so we can be on site early. If the business also has a second office or a storage unit nearby, in Leixlip, Celbridge or Kilcock, both can usually be cleared on the same trip, with each priced separately so you can see the cost of each. The fixed price is based on the volume, the floors and lift, the dismantling, and the amount of paper and electricals. Travel is built in.
Loads are sorted as they go on the van, with usable furniture held back for reuse where possible, metal, cardboard and electricals recycled, and the remainder sent to licensed facilities. We're an authorised waste carrier, permit NWCPO-25-13287-01, and fully insured.
For homes and student lets in the town, see house clearance in Maynooth. Offices elsewhere in the county are on our County Kildare and Naas pages. If files or furniture went into self-storage during the move, see storage unit clearance. Once empty, the carpets can be cleaned before handback; ask about commercial carpet cleaning. The full service is on our office clearance page.
