Offices in Artane aren't in business parks
Artane is mostly homes, and its offices are mostly small. Ask around for an office clearance here and it usually turns out to be one of three things: a back office behind a shop, a committee room or office in a sports club or community centre, or a small suite of rooms used by a local business, a charity or a practice.
None of those is a big job by volume. What makes them different from a city-centre office is who's involved and what's in them. A shop owner wants it done outside trading hours. A club committee needs to agree what's being kept. A community group needs the invoice in the group's name. We plan for all of that from the first photos. The core service, including how electricals are recycled, is on our main office clearance page.
Clubhouses and community centres
Sports clubs and community centres in Dublin 5 fill up over the years, and a clear-out usually happens when a building is refurbished, a group moves, or a new committee decides enough is enough. The contents are fairly predictable:
| Where | What usually goes |
|---|---|
| Committee room | Old tables and chairs, filing cabinets, a broken printer, framed photos nobody claims |
| Hall or function room | Stacking chairs, folding tables, a worn-out stage set or display boards |
| Clubhouse lounge | Bar stools, lounge seating, low tables, an old TV |
| Storeroom or container | Broken kit, old nets and goals, trophies, boxes of programmes and flyers |
| Kitchen | Fridges, urns, microwaves and the table everyone eats at |
Weekends at a club are usually busy with matches and training, so a weekday clear-out is often easiest. Tell us the fixtures and we'll work around them. If the building is about to be refurbished, give us the builder's start date and we'll have the rooms empty in time.

Back offices behind the counter
The parades along the Malahide Road and around the shopping centre have plenty of shops with a small office and stockroom out the back. When the business changes hands, refits or closes, that back area is often packed: an old desk and filing cabinet, shelving units, display stands, broken stock and years of cardboard.
We clear those after closing time or before opening, Monday to Saturday between 8am and 5pm, so the shop floor isn't disturbed. Free-standing shelving, display units and stand-alone counters come apart and go. Fitted shopfronts, built-in counters and anything wired in stay for a shopfitter. If there's old stock to go, tell us what it is, because we can't take chemicals, paint or aerosols, and batteries in bulk need a specialist.
Small offices and practices make up the rest. Above the shops on the main roads there are suites used by accountants, insurance brokers, a physio or a local charity, usually up a stair with no lift. Those clear like a small office anywhere: desks and shelving taken apart upstairs, filing cabinets emptied first, covers on the stairs, and the van as close to the street door as the road allows.
Clearing a club room or back office in Artane? Send a few photos of each room and the storeroom, with the address and the days that suit. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Club records, CCTV and personal data
The part of a club or charity clear-out that needs most thought is the paperwork. GDPR applies to clubs and voluntary groups just as it does to businesses, and filing cabinets in committee rooms often hold membership forms, contact lists, old accounts and incident reports.
Before we come:
- Decide what has to be kept, with the treasurer or secretary, and move it somewhere safe.
- Send anything sensitive for shredding. We don't shred, and confidential paper shouldn't go out with general waste.
- Deal with the drives. Old PCs, laptops and CCTV recorders can hold personal data, so remove or wipe the drives first.
- Empty the lockers. Members' belongings left in lockers should be claimed before the day.
After that, the general paper, the furniture and the electricals are all ours to take, and the electricals go to recycling.

What it costs, and what else is nearby
You'll get a fixed price from your photos before anything is booked. It depends on how much there is, how far the van can get to the door, any stairs, and items that need special handling, such as fridges, urns and heavy safes. Spotless is fully insured on every job, and it's an authorised waste carrier with permit NWCPO-25-13287-01, so a club or charity can show where its waste went.
If only a few pieces need to go, furniture removal or a short junk removal visit may suit better. Kit and furniture stored off site can be cleared through our storage unit clearance service. Nearby, we also clear offices in the industrial estates around Coolock and in the converted houses of Clontarf. For homes in the area, see our Artane house clearance page.
