Main Street offices and the edges of town
Newbridge has a busy town centre with offices mixed in among the shops. Solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers, estate agents and local companies work out of first-floor suites over Main Street and the streets off it, with the Whitewater shopping centre in the middle of it all and the Liffey running through the town. Out on the edges, closer to the M7, business parks hold larger offices and units.
Those two settings make for very different jobs:
- Town-centre offices: usually a stair from the street, no lift, tight parking and a shop to work around downstairs.
- Business-park offices: a car park at the door and often a roller door, so the van gets close.
What we take, how electricals are recycled and how we handle data is the same either way, and it's set out on our main office clearance page.
Parking and loading in the town centre
Newbridge's centre is busy during the day, and that's the main thing to plan around. A few points that help:
- Start early. We work from 8am, and the street is at its quietest before the shops open.
- Avoid the shopping-centre car parks. Multi-storey and covered car parks usually have a height limit that a box van won't fit under, so we load from the street, a yard or a lane instead.
- Look at the back. Many town-centre buildings have a yard or lane behind them, and that's often the easiest way out.
- Load in short runs. Rather than leaving the van parked on Main Street for hours, we load in batches and move it if needed.
When you send photos, include one of the street door and one of the back of the building if you can get to it.

The back room, the attic and the storage unit
Town-centre businesses run out of space quickly, and the overflow goes somewhere: a back room, the attic over the shop, a storeroom down the street or a self-storage unit. By the time someone books a clear-out, there's usually more there than anyone remembers.
What we tend to find:
- Archive boxes of closed files, old accounts and correspondence
- Old stock, display material and seasonal decorations
- Broken chairs, desks and filing cabinets that were moved out of the office "for now"
- Dead electricals: printers, monitors, a microwave, a heater
The files need sorting before we arrive. Check retention periods with your accountant, and send anything confidential to a shredding company, because we don't shred. Data on old PCs and laptops is the business's responsibility under GDPR, so wipe or remove the drives first. After that, everything else is ours to take, with electricals and metal recycled and usable furniture set aside for reuse where possible.

Business parks on the edge of town
Out towards the M7 and along the roads leading out of Newbridge, offices are in business parks and units rather than over shops. They're a different kind of job: a car park or yard at the door, often a roller door, and sometimes a warehouse or workshop floor behind the office.
Loading is quick in these places, and the main question is whether the unit floor is part of the clear-out too. If it is, our page on factory and warehouse clearance covers shelving, pallets and old stock. We don't take hazardous waste such as oils, chemicals or gas cylinders, which need a specialist contractor.
A Newbridge clear-out, step by step
- You send photos of each room, the stairs and the parking, or a short video.
- We quote a fixed price, usually the same day, with the travel from Dublin included.
- You label what's staying, return leased equipment and sort the paperwork.
- We arrive early, walk through with you, and confirm what's going.
- We clear, sort and load, taking desks and shelving apart on site.
- We sweep up and leave the rooms empty for you, the landlord or the agent.
