Planning a clearance in Newbridge
Newbridge grew up on the Liffey beside the Curragh, and it's now one of Kildare's largest towns, with the M7 running past and a direct train line to Dublin. We clear houses of every size here, from a single bedroom to a full home with an attic, garage and shed.
Before you send photos, a few details make the quote faster and more accurate:
- Which rooms are included, and which are staying as they are
- What's staying behind (furniture for the new owner, items the family wants)
- Where the van can park: driveway, road outside, or a shared car park
- Anything very heavy, like a piano, a safe or a solid wardrobe
- Your deadline, if there's a sale closing, a lease ending or a handover
Quotes usually go back the same day, and we can often fit the job in within a few days of it.
Newbridge streets and estates
The streets close to the town centre have older terraced and semi-detached houses, many without driveways, where everything goes out the front door and onto the road. Around them, estates have spread out steadily since the 1970s, with newer developments added more recently, and most of those have a driveway and a garage or side passage. Out past the edge of town, towards the Curragh and Kilcullen, there are bungalows and country houses on bigger plots, often with sheds and outbuildings.
Each of those changes the plan. A terraced house is about careful carrying and quick loading. An estate home is about volume, especially the attic and garage. A country house is about distance: more carrying, more outbuildings and more van loads.
Newbridge also has plenty of rented homes, so clearing between tenancies is part of the work here: furniture and bags left behind, white goods that don't belong to the property, a garden shed nobody has opened in a while. Landlords and letting agents can read more on our property clearance page.

Full house or just part of it?
| What you need | What's involved | Where to read more |
|---|---|---|
| Full house | Every room, the attic, garage, shed and garden, usually over one or two days | What a house clearance includes |
| Attic only | Everything brought down safely through the hatch, insulation left alone | Attic clearance |
| Garage or shed | Contents cleared, and the shed taken down if it's rotten | Garage and shed clearance |
| Apartment | Lifts, parking and building rules planned in advance | Apartment clearance |
| A home that's become too full | Staged, patient and discreet, at the resident's pace | Hoarder clearance |
If the house belonged to a parent, there's no need to do it all at once. We can clear the rooms you've finished with and leave the rest for another day, and anything personal we come across, from letters and photographs to cash in a coat pocket, is handed to you rather than thrown out.
Bulky, heavy and awkward things
Some items need more planning than others, so it's worth mentioning them early:
- Solid wood wardrobes and dressers. We take them apart where that's safer than forcing them down a staircase.
- Pianos and safes. These decide how many of us come, so photograph them clearly.
- Fridges, freezers and washing machines. Collected and sent for appliance recycling.
- Mattresses and bed bases. Bagged and taken with the rest of the load.
- Paint, oil, chemicals and gas cylinders. We can't take these, or asbestos. Paint, oil and chemicals can go to a civic amenity site or hazardous waste collection, and we'll clear the rest.
Floors are protected before anything heavy moves, and stair carpets get covers.
Clearing a house in Newbridge? Send photos of each room, the attic, the garage and anything heavy on WhatsApp, with your Eircode. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Your price, agreed up front
We price each job on volume, access, recycling needs and time, and give you one fixed figure before booking. Most quotes come straight from photos, with no home visit needed. Customers often mention in their reviews that the price stayed the same even when the job turned out bigger than expected. For more on what affects a price, see our cost guide.
After the van leaves
Rooms are left clear, with floors swept or vacuumed where needed. Anything reusable is put aside, metal and electrical items go for recycling, and what's left goes to licensed facilities under permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. If you're selling or reletting, we can follow up with carpet cleaning in Kildare or power washing. We don't offer deep cleaning, so if the house needs a full clean before handover, book it for after we've gone: an empty house is far quicker to clean.
