Maynooth clear-outs, lease to lease
Maynooth is a university town first. The campus shared by Maynooth University and St Patrick's College brings thousands of students into a town of estates, older streets and new apartment schemes, and many of its houses are let to students. So in Maynooth, a clearance is very often about the end of a lease.
It isn't the only one. Families in Maynooth's estates downsize, clear a parent's home after a death, or finally empty an attic that's been filling since the house was built. We handle all of it, from one van load to the whole house.
For landlords: getting a house share ready again
When students move out, they don't always take everything with them. The typical leftovers are easy to picture:
- mattresses, bed bases and broken desk chairs
- kitchen drawers full of mismatched pans, plates and appliances
- bags of clothes, books and bedding nobody came back for
- a sofa that has seen better days, and sometimes a bike in the back garden
We clear the lot, separate what can be reused or recycled, and leave rooms swept so you or your letting agent can inspect, clean and relet. If items belong to the property (beds, wardrobes, a fridge freezer), mark them or list them and they stay where they are. For the wider process, see our guide to clearing a rental between tenants and our property clearance service.
Parents helping a student move out
If your son or daughter is leaving a Maynooth house share and the car won't take everything home, we can collect what's left in their room: the mattress topper, the clothes rail, the desk lamp, the bags nobody wants. Check with the landlord first, so nothing that belongs to the house goes by mistake, then send a photo of the room and the Eircode. It's a small job, priced on what's there.

For families in Maynooth's estates
Not every job is about a lease. In family homes the work looks different:
- A full clearance after a bereavement. We go gently, put aside personal papers and photos, and work at the family's pace. Read how our bereavement house clearance works.
- Attics. Boxes, cases and old furniture stored up there since the move in. See attic clearance.
- Garages and sheds. Tools, paint, bikes and garden furniture, plus the shed itself if it's rotten. See garage and shed clearance.
- A home that's become overwhelming. Calm, non-judgemental help, at a pace the person living there can manage. See hoarder clearance.

Getting around Maynooth
Maynooth is just off the M4, with the Royal Canal and the railway running through the town. Kilcock is the next town west along the canal, and Leixlip and Celbridge are a short drive east, so we cover all of them along with the countryside in between. Our page on house clearance in north Kildare's commuter towns looks at that whole stretch together. In the estates we can usually load from a driveway. On the older streets near the centre, parking is tighter and the van needs to stay outside for as short a time as possible, so we stage everything before it goes out the door.
In apartment schemes and managed student buildings, there may be a loading bay, a time slot or a rule about using the lift. Tell us what applies and we'll book around it.
Got a Maynooth house to clear? Send photos of each room on WhatsApp, with the Eircode and any date you're working to. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
What happens to everything we take
Student furniture is often in decent condition, and a cheap desk or bookcase can still be useful to someone. Reusable items are set aside where possible, metals and electricals go for recycling, and the rest goes to licensed facilities. Spotless is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, which holds waste collection permit NWCPO-25-13287-01, so nothing you hand over ends up dumped. Elsewhere in the county?
