Two halves of Bray's working town
Bray's offices split roughly in two. In the town, solicitors, accountants, estate agents and brokers work from upstairs rooms along the Main Street, Quinsboro Road and the streets between them and the seafront. South and west of the centre, the business parks along the Southern Cross Route hold larger offices, often with a warehouse or workshop attached.
An office clear-out in either one has the same aim: take away what you no longer need while the business carries on. How we get it out is where they differ.
Upstairs practices on the Main Street and Quinsboro Road
The typical town-centre job is an older building with a street door, a steep stair and offices on the first and second floors. Over the years, the back room fills with files, the spare chairs pile up, and a broken photocopier takes up residence on the landing.
How we handle it:
- Clear the blockage first. The landing, the back room or the top-floor store usually goes first, which frees up space to work.
- Take furniture apart in place. Old desks and bookcases are dismantled upstairs and carried down in pieces.
- Keep the front office working. If you're seeing clients, we stay in the back rooms and keep the stairs free when you need them.
- Load in short stops. The van stays only as long as it takes to load each batch, then moves on if parking is tight.
Timing matters for some practices more than others. Accountants generally want a clear-out done well away from the autumn tax deadlines, while solicitors often prefer a quiet week in August or between Christmas and the new year. Tell us when your busy season is and we'll book around it.
Estate agents often have extra items to go: old display boards, sign posts, brochure stands and window displays. Those are no problem, as long as anything fixed to the shopfront is taken down first.
Business parks along the Southern Cross Route
Out at the business parks towards Kilruddery, the units are newer and easier to reach, with car parks and often a roller door. What makes these clear-outs bigger is the mix: an office upstairs, a storeroom downstairs and sometimes a trade counter or workshop.
We'll clear the office side and the general clutter around it, from the reception chairs to the boxes of old brochures and samples that collect by the back door. If there's racking, pallets or stock, our warehouse clearance page explains how we handle that part, and we can price both in one quote.

Doing it in two visits
Staying open usually means doing it in pieces. A typical Bray plan looks like this:
- Visit one: the storeroom, archive boxes and broken equipment, early in the morning.
- In between: you decide on the furniture, label what's going and order anything new.
- Visit two: old desks and chairs out, ideally the day before the new ones arrive.
Each visit has its own fixed price, so you can budget for both up front. If it's all small enough for one visit, we'll say so.
Need room in a Bray office? Send photos of the storeroom, the furniture that's going and the stairs, plus the hours you're open. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Getting the van close
Bray town centre is busy, with on-street pay parking and loading bays that fill early. Let us know if there's a lane, a yard behind the building, or a private space we can use for an hour. Otherwise we'll use the nearest loading bay and bring trolleys. The business parks are simpler; a space near the door is usually all we need. Saturdays on the Main Street get busy as the day goes on, so a weekend clear-out in town starts at 8am and aims to have the van loaded before the shops are at their fullest. We're based in Dublin, and Bray is a short run down the N11, so starting at 8am is easy.
Before we come, and what happens after
A few things are yours to sort first: wipe or remove drives from old computers (we don't do data destruction), send confidential files to a shredding company, and return leased printers to their supplier. Our office clearance planning guide has a checklist you can work through.
After that, everything we take is sorted. Pieces worth keeping in use are put to one side for reuse where possible, electricals and scrap metal are recycled, and the leftovers go to licensed facilities. We're fully insured and an authorised waste carrier.
For homes and rentals in the town, see house clearance in Bray and property clear-outs in Bray. If the carpets look tired once the old furniture's gone, ask about carpet cleaning in Bray. Further along the coast, we do the same in Greystones and Dún Laoghaire, and our main office clearance page explains the full service.
