House clearance in Bray
Bray is Wicklow's biggest town and the first you reach heading south out of Dublin, with the DART running along the coast, the N11 on its western edge and Bray Head rising over the end of the promenade. That makes it a straightforward run for us, and we clear houses, apartments and rentals right across it.
A clearance here can be a Victorian terrace by the sea, a semi-d in one of the estates out towards Ballywaltrim or Old Connaught, or a flat above a shop on Main Street. We price every one from photos, agree a fixed figure before booking, and leave the rooms swept when we go.
Bray's housing, and how we plan for it
Bray grew as a seaside resort once the railway arrived, and the older streets near the seafront still show it. Further out, the town filled in with council housing and private estates through the twentieth century, with apartments added around the town centre and the harbour more recently.
| Home type | What it means for the clearance |
|---|---|
| Victorian and Edwardian terraces near the seafront | Steps to the door, steep stairs, high ceilings and big old furniture. More hands and more care. |
| Estate semi-ds and terraced houses | Usually easy loading from a driveway or the road. Attics, garages and sheds hold most of the volume. |
| Seafront and town-centre apartments | Lifts, management company rules and limited stopping space. Planned before the day. |
| Flats over shops | Narrow internal stairs and no parking at the door. We stage everything first, as our flat clearance page explains. |
The attic, the garage and the shed are where most jobs grow, so include them in your photos. See attic clearance, garage clear-outs and shed clearance.

Property clear-outs for landlords and sellers
If you own or manage a rental in Bray, or you're preparing a house for sale, a clear-out is usually the first job on the list. We take out what the tenant left behind or everything the family isn't keeping, leave what belongs to the property, and send photos when the rooms are clear. That's ready for the estate agent's photographer, an inspection or a cleaner.
Executors clearing a house for probate get the same approach, with papers, photographs and valuables put to one side as we go. Our property clearance page explains how we work with landlords, agents and executors.
Clearing a family home
Not every clearance is a business decision. When a parent has died, or is moving into care or a smaller place, the house usually holds a lifetime of things, and the family needs time to decide. We can clear in stages, let you sort through with us on the day, and hand over anything personal we find. Our bereavement house clearance page explains it in full.
If you're the one downsizing, perhaps from a family house to an apartment nearer the town, measure the new place first and decide what will actually fit. Family can collect what they want by an agreed date, and we clear everything else in one go, before or after the move.
If a home has become hard to live in because of the amount stored in it, our hoarder clearance service is discreet, patient and never judgemental.
Parking and access around Bray
Parking in Bray changes street by street. The seafront and town centre are busy, with limited room to stop, so loading needs a plan; the estates are usually easy. When you send photos, tell us:
- where the van can stop, and for how long
- how many steps or flights of stairs there are
- whether there's a lift, and any building rules about moves
- anything heavy, like a piano, a safe or a solid wardrobe
Those details feed straight into the price. We charge by the job rather than the hour, based on volume, access, anything needing special disposal (fridges, mattresses, electricals) and the time the crew will need, and you get one fixed price before booking. Our cost guide explains it.

Carpets, sofas and the outside
When the rooms are empty, it's the easiest time to freshen up what stays. We clean carpets and sofas in Bray, and there's a short video of one of those jobs below. We also power wash driveways, patios and paths across north Wicklow, which helps when a house is going on the market.
Everything we take away is sorted: reusable items set aside, metals and electricals recycled, and the rest to licensed facilities under waste collection permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. For the rest of the county, see house clearance in Wicklow.
