Saggart in three parts
Saggart is an old village on the south-western edge of County Dublin that has grown a great deal in recent decades. A clearance here can mean three quite different jobs: a house in or near the old village, a home in one of the newer estates or apartment schemes towards Citywest, or a property out on the rural edge where the land rises towards the Dublin Mountains.
We price each one from photos, and the plan for the day changes with the type of house. Tell us which of the three yours is, and send photos of every room, the attic and the garden.
The old village
Around the village centre you'll find older cottages, terraces and family homes, some of them in the same family for generations. They tend to have smaller rooms and narrower stairs than the estate houses, and parking outside is limited, so we stage everything inside and keep the van's stops brief.
These are often the clearances that matter most to people: a parent's home, full of furniture, photographs and decades of paperwork. We take our time, check every drawer and pocket, and hand back anything personal. If you'd like to do it in stages, a room or two at a time, that's fine. See bereavement house clearance.
Estates and apartments towards Citywest
Most of Saggart's homes are newer: estates of semis, townhouses and duplexes, plus apartment blocks around Citywest and the Luas Red Line, which ends at Saggart. The rooms are easier to work in, but storage fills up quickly:
- The attic in a newer semi is often boarded only in the middle, so we walk the joists carefully and keep off the insulation. More on attic clearance.
- The garage, where there is one, usually holds bikes, tools, paint and a chest freezer. See garage clear-outs.
- Apartments need the lift booked, fob access sorted and a word with the management company about where a van can stand, since underground car parks rarely take a high-sided van. Our apartment clearance page has the detail.
- Duplexes mean an internal staircase on top of the outside steps, which we allow for in the price.
Plenty of these homes are rented. If you're a landlord with a unit near Citywest standing empty between tenants, tell us what belongs to the property and it stays put. The keys can come from your letting agent, and you'll get photos of the empty rooms when we're done.

Long gardens, sheds and the road to the hills
Head south from the village towards Brittas and the plots get bigger. One-off houses, bungalows and older farmhouses here often come with a large garden, a couple of sheds, a stable or workshop, and a heap of things that were going to be useful one day.
We empty sheds and outbuildings in the same visit as the house, and we can take down a rotten timber shed and remove it. Garden waste, old fencing and broken garden furniture can go too; see shed clearance and garden clearance. Old farm chemicals, fuel and anything that might contain asbestos need a specialist, so point them out and we'll tell you honestly what we can take.
A photo of the gateway and the drive helps us bring the right van and know where it can turn.
Clearing a home in Saggart or Citywest? Send photos of each room, the attic, the garage and any sheds on WhatsApp, with a picture of the drive. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Getting to Saggart
Saggart sits close to the N7 and the M50, so it's an easy run for our crew. Traffic around Citywest and the N7 junctions builds at rush hour, so we aim to be on site early and loaded before the evening traffic. If your estate has narrow roads or visitor parking only, let us know which spot to use.
The Kildare border is only a few minutes away, so a house in Rathcoole, Newcastle or over towards Kill is part of the same patch for us. Family coming out from the city can take the Luas Red Line to Saggart and meet us at the house.
What the price covers
The fixed price covers the whole job: carrying everything out, loading, transport and disposal. We work it out from the volume, the access, the distance to the van and anything needing special handling, such as fridges, freezers, mattresses or electricals. It's agreed before you book, and it's what you pay.
On the day, the crew checks in with you, covers the floors on the carry route and clears room by room. Anything reusable is put to one side, scrap metal and electrical items are recycled, and only the leftovers go to a licensed facility, all under waste collection permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. Every job is fully insured too, and when we leave, the rooms are empty and swept. A cluttered home that has got on top of someone gets the same patience; see hoarder clearance.

Our main house clearance page explains the service in full, and Dublin house clearances covers the rest of the county. Tallaght is next door, with its own Tallaght page.
