Leixlip estates and the people in them
Leixlip sits where the Rye Water joins the Liffey, right on the Kildare–Dublin border, with Lucan on one side and Celbridge and Maynooth not far on the other. Most homes are in estates built from the 1970s onwards, on both sides of the river and up towards Confey, with more recent developments on the edges of the town. Intel's campus at Collinstown is one of the biggest employers locally, and plenty of families commute into Dublin on the M4 or from the two train stations at Louisa Bridge and Confey.
For carpet cleaning, that adds up to a familiar kind of house: a hall, a stairs and landing, three or four bedrooms, a living room, and very often a family room or playroom off the kitchen where everyone actually spends their evenings.
The family room: where everyone ends up
In a lot of Leixlip homes, the front room stays tidy and the family room takes the wear. It's where the children play, the television lives, snacks get eaten on the floor and the dog has its basket. The carpet in there tells the whole story: a darker patch in front of the sofa, a lane from the kitchen door, and a scattering of small marks from crisps, juice and modelling clay.
That kind of soiling responds well to the right approach. Oily crumbs and greasy footprints need a pre-treatment to break them down before the hot rinse, because water alone just moves grease around. Sugary spills, on the other hand, come out readily. Dyes from coloured drinks and felt-tip are the ones that may only fade.
If the dog's basket lives in the family room too, the carpet around it usually has a darker patch of hair and body oil, and the route to the back door shows paw marks. Both lift well once the hair is vacuumed out. Older accidents that have soaked into the underlay are harder, and we'll be honest about them; our page on pet carpet cleaning explains why.
The sofa in the family room is usually the hardest-worked piece of furniture in the house, and it can be cleaned on the same visit after a care-label check. See upholstery cleaning for the details.

Stairs in a Leixlip semi
The stairs in an estate semi is usually a straight flight, sometimes with a short turn at the bottom, and it gets more use than any other carpet in the house. Children run up and down it, school bags get dropped on the bottom step, and the landing at the top sees everyone moving between bedrooms and the bathroom.
We clean it step by step with a hand tool, front edges and risers included, then do the landing with the main wand. The stairs is finished before the hall, so nobody has to walk across clean carpet. Our stair carpet cleaning page explains the method in more detail.
Working around shifts and school runs
Plenty of households here work shifts or have both parents commuting, and finding a time to have the house free can be the hardest part. We work Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, so an early start before work, a slot while the children are at school, or a Saturday can usually be arranged. You don't have to stay in for the whole visit if someone can let us in and lock up.
Drying typically takes a few hours, depending on airflow. A morning clean usually leaves the carpets touch-dry by the time the school run comes home, and fully dry by the evening.
Send the stairs and the family room A photo of each room and the stairs, plus close-ups of any stains, is enough for a fixed price, usually the same day.
When carpet cleaning follows a move
People move in and out of Leixlip's estates all the time, upsizing as families grow and downsizing once they've grown up. Either way, a house is easiest to clean when it's empty. If you're selling and the rooms need clearing first, our Leixlip house clearance page explains how we handle it. If you've just bought, clean before your furniture arrives.
Mattresses can go on the same visit; see mattress cleaning.

Leixlip and the county line
We cover all of Leixlip and Confey, and the towns around it: Celbridge, Maynooth and, across the border, Lucan. For the rest of the county, see carpet cleaning in Kildare. Estate houses usually have a driveway, so the van stays close.
Your price is built from the photos: which rooms, the stairs and landing, any family-room sofa or mattress, and how much wear there is. We agree it up front. We're insured on every job, and Ciprian, who runs our carpet cleaning, completed a Prochem course in 2018. For the step-by-step method, see the Dublin carpet cleaning page.
