Pick the parts you need
Not every office needs everything cleared. Some only need office furniture removal before a refit, some just want the IT graveyard in the back room dealt with, and some are closing for good. So here are our office clear-out services one by one, with what each covers and anything you need to do first.
You can book any one of them on its own or combine several in one fixed price. Every service on this page is removal and disposal: we carry it out, load it and send it on for reuse, recycling or licensed disposal. We don't do strip-out, demolition, data destruction or shredding, and the last section explains who does.
Office furniture removal
The biggest part of most office clear-outs, and the one people search for most:
- desks and bench workstations, taken apart on site
- office chairs, meeting chairs and stools
- pedestals, filing cabinets, lockers and cupboards
- meeting and boardroom tables
- free-standing screens, whiteboards and pin boards
- bookcases and free-standing shelving
Bench desks and big boardroom tables are dismantled in the room so they go through doors and lifts without marking the building. Good pieces are set aside for reuse where possible. Chairs with a failed gas lift or a split seat rarely have a second life, but their metal bases and frames go for recycling rather than landfill. For one or two pieces, furniture removal is the lighter booking.

IT and electrical clear-outs
Old computers are often the most awkward part of an office to get rid of. We take:
- monitors, desktops, laptops and docking stations
- printers, scanners and copiers you own
- desk phones, headsets and conference phones
- keyboards, mice, cables, chargers and power strips
- free-standing server cabinets your IT team has decommissioned
All of it is kept out of general waste and taken to electrical recycling. The data on it isn't ours to manage: under GDPR it remains your business's responsibility, so wipe or remove drives before the clear-out, and don't forget the drives inside many multifunction printers. Leased printers go back to the leasing company, not into our van.
Kitchens, storerooms and reception areas
Kitchens and canteens. Fridges, microwaves, toasters, kettles and water boilers go to electrical recycling; tables, chairs and stools go with the furniture. Empty and switch off fridges the day before. Fitted units, sinks and anything plumbed in stay.
Storerooms. Every office has one: old stationery, broken equipment, display stands, flat-pack nobody assembled, Christmas decorations, boxes of brochures from a rebrand. It's usually the quickest win in a clear-out, and clearing it first gives us room to stage everything else.
Reception areas. Reception is the room visitors see, so it's often cleared on its own before a refresh: sofas and armchairs, coffee tables, a free-standing reception desk, display cabinets, brochure stands, plant pots and the old artwork. If the reception counter was built in by a shopfitter, it's a fixture and a fit-out contractor removes it. Covers go down on the floor while we work, because the carpet or the tiles in a reception area are usually staying.
Archive and filing rooms
Archive rooms fill up because nobody is sure what they're allowed to throw out. Two steps before we clear one:
- Check what must be kept. Some records have to be held for set periods. Your accountant or solicitor can tell you which.
- Send confidential paper to a shredding company. Client files, HR records, payroll and anything with personal data needs secure shredding, which we don't do.
After that, we clear the rest: empty lever-arch and box files, general paper, old catalogues and reference books, archive boxes, and the shelving or rolling stacks that held them, provided the stacks are free-standing rather than fixed to the floor.

Need part of the office cleared? Photograph the rooms you want cleared, mark what stays, and send them on WhatsApp with the floor and parking details. We'll reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.
Full office closures
When the business is leaving the building, everything goes: every room, the kitchen, the storeroom, the comms cupboard and the bins. A closure usually runs to a date set by the lease, and it's often done in stages while the last staff work out their notice.
- Stage one: storerooms, archives and surplus furniture, while people are still working.
- Stage two: desks, chairs and IT once the team has gone.
- Stage three: the last bits, a sweep and a walk-round with whoever holds the keys.
Before the final visit, gather the keys, fobs and access cards you'll be returning, and read the meters if the lease asks for it. If you've already moved on, we can arrange access with the landlord or agent and send you dated photos of each empty room.
Our main office clearance page covers lease ends and moves in more detail, and if the business also had a warehouse or industrial unit, see factory and warehouse clearance.
What's not on the list, and who does it
We're a removal crew, so some parts of an office project belong to other trades. Here's who to call:
| Job | Who usually does it |
|---|---|
| Fixed partitions, suspended ceilings, raised floors | A strip-out or fit-out contractor |
| Data cabling and anything wired in | An electrician |
| Lifting carpet tiles or other floor coverings | A flooring or strip-out contractor |
| Destroying hard drives, with a record | A data-destruction company |
| Confidential paper | A shredding company |
| Chemicals, paint, oils, gas cylinders (we can't take these) | A hazardous-waste contractor |
We clear everything else, so whoever comes next starts with an empty room. Spotless is fully insured, and Krystal Klean Express Limited, which operates it, holds Waste Collection Permit NWCPO-25-13287-01.
If you're still deciding who to hire, see choosing an office clear-out company. If you're staying put and only want the clutter gone, read about office clear-outs while you keep working, and for Dublin buildings with lifts, loading bays and security desks, see office clearance in Dublin. Once the floor is clear, our commercial carpet cleaning crew can freshen up the tiles that are staying.
