Our cleaning services in Dublin, at a glance
Most people get in touch about one thing, a stained carpet or a tired sofa, and then notice the stairs, the rug in the hall and the mattress in the spare room. This page sets out each of our cleaning services in Dublin: what's involved, what to expect and where to read more, so you can put together exactly what you want in one booking.
Everything is done the same way: checked first, pre-treated, then cleaned by hot-water extraction with a portable extractor, with air movers to speed up drying. You'll be dealing with Ciprian, who started Spotless and still cleans carpets himself, and a small crew. He completed the Prochem carpet-cleaning course in 2018 (certificate no. 2018/020), and we're fully insured on every job.
What we clean:
- Fitted carpets in bedrooms, living rooms and halls
- Stairs and landings, step by step
- Rugs, cleaned on site after a colour test
- Sofas, armchairs and dining chairs
- Mattresses and fabric headboards
- Business carpets in offices, restaurants, pubs, hotels and churches

Fitted carpets
What's involved: we check the fibre and any stains, vacuum out loose grit, pre-treat spots and traffic lanes, then rinse the carpet with hot water and pull it straight back out. Light furniture is moved and put back; heavy wardrobes and beds are cleaned around.
Good to know: the carpet is damp, not wet, when we finish, and usually dries in a few hours. Our main carpet cleaning page covers stains, pets and drying in detail, and our carpet cleaning service, step by step walks through a visit from start to finish.
Stairs and landings
What's involved: each step is cleaned by hand with a small tool, including the front edge and the riser, where dirt builds up and a big wand can't reach. The landing is done first and we work down, so nothing is walked on once it's clean.
Good to know: stairs are often the dirtiest carpet in the house and the one that improves most. Worn nosings will look cleaner, but cleaning can't replace pile that's been walked away.
Rugs
What's involved: a look at the back to see how the rug is made, a fibre check and a colour-run test on a hidden corner, then a clean suited to that rug, on site.
Good to know: silk, antique and some viscose or jute rugs are better off with a specialist washer, and we'll tell you if yours is one of them. See rug cleaning for which rugs we clean and which we don't.

Sofas and upholstery
What's involved: we check the care code under the cushions first. A "W" or "W/S" code lets us clean it with water; an "S" or "X" code rules wet cleaning out. Loose hair and crumbs are vacuumed off, arms and headrests pre-treated, and the fabric cleaned with a small upholstery tool. Cushions are stood up with air movers to dry.
Good to know: removable covers stay on the cushions while they're cleaned, so they keep their size and still match the rest of the sofa. Fabric dining chairs and footstools are quick to add. Upholstery cleaning explains fabric checks in full, and sofa cleaning by furniture type covers corner sofas, recliners and dining chairs.
Mattresses
What's involved: both the stained areas and the general surface are pre-treated, cleaned with a hand tool by hot-water extraction and left to dry with air moving across them.
Good to know: parents often book it for children's beds, and landlords and short-let hosts book it between guests. Old urine stains that have soaked deep into the filling will improve, but may not disappear. See mattress cleaning for what to expect.

Want a price for a few things at once? Photograph each room, the stairs, the sofa and the mattress, and send them together on WhatsApp. You'll get one clear price for the lot, usually the same day.
Carpets in offices, restaurants and other premises
What's involved: the same hot-water extraction, timed around your opening hours within ours (Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm). Entrances, walkways and the areas under desks and tables get extra pre-treatment.
Good to know: restaurant and pub carpets usually suit an early-morning clean, so they're dry by evening service. Offices often suit a Saturday. See commercial carpet cleaning for restaurants, pubs, hotels and churches, and office carpet cleaning for carpet tiles and working around desks.
Combining services in one visit
Doing several things on the same visit saves you a second morning at home, and the whole room looks right at once rather than a clean carpet next to a grubby sofa.
| Combination | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Living room carpet and sofa | The two things you notice together, done together |
| Hall, stairs and landing, plus the hall rug | The busiest route through the house, all in one go |
| Bedroom carpets and mattresses | Rooms are cleared once, and everything dries together |
| An empty rental between tenants | Carpets, mattresses and sofas ready for the next check-in |
Landlords and agents will find more on rentals and communal stairwells in carpet cleaning for landlords.
What to send for a price
Each service is priced by what's being cleaned: rooms, stairs and landing, rugs by size, sofas by the number of seats, mattresses by size, and business carpets by area. Condition and stains make a difference too, which is why photos matter for an accurate figure. Send:
- a photo of each room from the doorway, and the stairs from the bottom
- photos of the sofa, mattress or rug, with any care labels
- close-ups of any stains you're worried about
- your area or Eircode, and a note about parking
You'll get a clear, fixed price before you book, with nothing added on the day. If a stain in your photos is unlikely to come out, or a fabric shouldn't be wet-cleaned, we'll say so in the quote, so you can leave that item out or decide with the full picture. Then pick a slot, and we'll confirm it on WhatsApp.
