Booking a midlands trip
Tullamore is right in the middle of the country, and from our base in Dublin it's a proper journey out the M4 and M6. So we don't treat it as a quick run. Every Tullamore job is booked as a scheduled midlands trip, planned from your photos, with the crew size and van space worked out in advance so the job is finished properly in the days set aside.
What that means for you:
- A fixed price before you book, with the travel already in it
- A date agreed in advance, rather than "we'll see when we're passing"
- The right crew for the size of job, so a farmhouse doesn't run into a third day
- Everything checked as it's cleared, with personal papers and photos handed back
We're fully insured on every job, and we hold waste permit NWCPO-25-13287-01 as an authorised waste carrier, so the contents leave legally.
Town homes in Tullamore
Tullamore has a compact centre of terraced houses, town houses and flats over shops, with estates of semi-ds and detached houses spreading out around it. The town-centre houses bring the usual challenges: limited parking, narrow halls and stairs that turn. We take big furniture apart in the room, stage everything inside, and load in short runs. For apartments, see apartment clearance.
In the estates, the work is usually in the stored spaces. A boarded attic, a garage that's never had a car in it, a shed at the end of the garden. Each can be cleared on its own, and loading is easy from a driveway. See attic clearance and garage clear-outs.
Landlords with a rental in Tullamore can hand the whole turnaround to us. Send photos once the tenants have gone, list anything that belongs to the property, and tell us when the next tenancy begins. The leftovers go, the furniture on the inventory stays, and you get photos of the rooms when they're clear. For several units, see property clearance.

Farmhouses around Tullamore
Out from the town, towards Killeigh, Rahan, Daingean and Clara, the land is farms, bog and small villages. Homes are mostly bungalows and two-storey farmhouses, and nearly every one has a yard. That yard is where a clearance can double in size.
Here's what a typical farmhouse job involves:
| Part of the property | What's usually in it | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| The house | Furniture, bedding, kitchenware, papers | Clear room by room, checking every drawer |
| The attic | Boxes, cases, old furniture | Bring down safely with the stairs protected |
| Sheds and stores | Timber, tools, tyres, old furniture | Empty and sweep, metals kept for recycling |
| The yard | Scrap, old machinery parts, broken gates | Gather and load, with anything hazardous flagged |
| Old appliances | Chest freezers, cookers, washing machines | Separate for appliance recycling |
Some things aren't part of a normal clearance: farm chemicals, sheep dip, waste oil, gas cylinders and asbestos roof sheeting. Show us in your photos and we'll be honest about what we can and can't take. If a shed itself is beyond saving, shed clearance can include taking it down.
Not sure how much is out there? A slow video walking round the yard and into each shed tells us more than a dozen photos, and it lets us size the job properly before the trip is booked.

Clearing a family home from a distance
When the family is spread out, with children in Dublin, abroad or elsewhere in the midlands, getting everyone to Tullamore for a weekend of sorting after a parent dies or goes into care is hard. We make it easier. One person sends photos and a list of what's staying, the keys are left with a neighbour or the solicitor, and we send photos of each room as it's emptied. Papers, photographs, jewellery and anything personal are set aside for the family.
Our bereavement clearance page covers how we work with executors and probate. If a relative's home has become difficult to live in because of how much has built up, hoarder clearance is slow, private and never judgemental.
The price, and the finish
The price reflects the number of van loads, the length of the carry, any items needing separate disposal, such as fridges, mattresses and electricals, and the hours on site. A full house is generally done within one or two days; a big farm can take longer, and we'll tell you up front.
As we work, furniture worth reusing is kept back where possible, metal and electricals go for recycling, and the rest goes to licensed waste facilities. Once the house is empty, carpet cleaning in Tullamore is the obvious next step before a sale. For more on a full job, see house clearance; for the rest of the county, house clearance in Offaly.
