Yes, we come to Drogheda
Spotless is based in Dublin and covers all of Leinster, and Drogheda is part of that everyday area. It's a straight run up the M1, and the crew and van come up for the day.
What that means for you:
- One fixed price that includes travel. The figure we quote covers the crew, the van, the trip and the disposal. Nothing is added on the day.
- Notice helps. Give us as much as you can, especially if you're working to a sale, a tenancy handover or a family visit home.
- Good photos matter even more. Because we're travelling, we want to arrive with the right size crew to finish in one visit. Photograph everything, including the attic, the garage and the shed.
Old town streets and newer estates
Drogheda straddles the Boyne, and its housing changes as you move out from the centre.
In the old town, on both banks of the river, there are terraced houses on narrow and sometimes steep streets, with little or no parking outside. Those jobs are about the carry: the van parks as close as it legally can, and we bring an extra pair of hands to keep things moving. There are apartments in and around the town centre too, which bring lifts and management companies into the plan; see apartment clearance. A flat over a shop in the centre is a different job again, usually a long internal stairs with no lift, and our flat clearance page explains how we handle it.
Further out, Drogheda is ringed by family estates, many of them built from the late 1990s onward, when the town grew as a commuter base for Dublin. Those houses usually have a driveway, an attic and a garden shed, and loading is straightforward. Twenty-odd years on, plenty of their attics and garages are full, and that's often where most of the work turns out to be. Part of the town's south side is in County Meath, which makes no difference to us.
Making one trip do the whole job
With a run up the motorway involved, it makes sense to get everything done in one go. Tell us about every part of the property when you ask for a price, and we'll plan the crew and the van loads to suit:
- The house: every room, wardrobe and press
- The attic: boxes, suitcases, decorations and old furniture (attic clearance)
- The garage: tools, bikes and anything else stored there (garage clear-outs)
- The shed: emptied, and taken down if you want it gone (shed clearance)
- The garden: cuttings, old furniture and broken pots
A few things sit outside a normal clearance, wherever the house is. We leave rooms empty and the floors swept, but we don't offer deep cleaning. We can't take asbestos, chemicals, gas cylinders, paint or oil, so if any of those are in the house, take them to a civic amenity site or a hazardous waste collection first. It's much better to sort that out before the van leaves Dublin than to find out on the day.

Why people in Drogheda call a clearance crew
The reasons are the same as anywhere else, and every one of them deserves care:
- After a death in the family. Clearing a parent's house, often while sorting out the estate. We work gently and hand over anything personal; see bereavement house clearance.
- Selling up and moving. Getting the house empty for the estate agent's photos and viewings.
- Between tenants. Landlords who need a rental emptied and ready to let again; see property clearance.
- A home that has become too full. Helping a relative whose house has become hard to live in, at a pace that suits them; see hoarder clearance.
Need a house in Drogheda cleared? Send photos of every room, the attic, garage and garden on WhatsApp, with your Eircode. We'll reply with a fixed price that includes the travel.
What to send us
The more we can see, the better we can plan. When you get in touch, include:
- Photos of each room, the attic, the garage, the shed and the garden
- Your Eircode, and a photo of the street outside if parking is tight
- What's staying, if anything
- Any deadline, and any very heavy or hazardous items
We'll come back with a fixed price, and when the job is done, the rooms will be empty and the floors swept or vacuumed. You can see how we work in more detail on our house clearance page, or read about our work closer to home on house clearance in Dublin.
